INTRODUCTION

The larger the company the larger the data they hold and as
modern business lean towards an atmosphere where faster and
better is a must, thus a need for information management arises.

By this, there is a need to establish a standard database

management system for all the past and current updated data of
the department and then develop a software application that
utilizes the database for standard data repository, optimized
searching and report generation.

The project will enforce data integrity through the

implementation of a database system and data retrieval, storage,
presentation would be optimized using a software application that
integrates User Interface and User Experience.
OBJECTIVES

To be able to develop a database management system that:

• Allows modification and display of network connections, devices

and information of FNAS-1 (N4i).
• Enforces data integrity and security, and user authentication.

To be able to develop a software that:

• Connects to a Network Inventory Database and retrieves

necessary data.
• Displays views based on what user search.
• Updates network database information by uploading formatted
.xlsx, .xls, and .xlsm files only.
• Shows a log and saves a log file of the interactions of the user on
the application.
• Generates formatted .xls reports only.

update the selected nodes information through the Update Node panel
EXPORT FORM
Above is the form where the admin can view all of the nodes/links and its information in the
database through the data grid view in the Node/Link Information panel. Also, admins can export
the selected data in the Node/Link Information panel in .xls format only.

will give suggestions as the user type characters in it.
The information of the selected node will be displayed on the Node
Information panel on the upper right side of the form via labels.
The information of the links that are connected to the selected node will
be displayed on the Node Links panel via data grid view
IMPORTING
NODES
By clicking on the Attach file button in the Import Node/s panel, user can now attach an
excel file.
After attaching the file, user can choose what sheet he/she only wants to import in the
database. Once, the user specify the file and sheet and clicked the Import button, the
data will now reflect in the data grid view in the Nodes panel.
Once the user specified the file and sheet and clicked the Import button, the data will
now be reflected in the data grid view in the Nodes panel.
