FINDINGS
• The results section is where you report the
findings of your study based upon the
methodology [or methodologies] you applied to
gather information. The results section should
state the findings of the research arranged in a
logical sequence without bias or interpretation. A
section describing results is particularly necessary
if your paper includes data generated from your
own research.

RQ1: HOW DO PARTICIPANTS ENGAGE
IN ROBOTICS ACTIVITIES?
OBSERVATION – Direct observation in the
Classroom (video record)
• Behavioural Engagement
• Cognitive Engagement
• Emotional Engagement
• STUDENT INTERVIEW
RQ2: IS THERE ANY CHANGE IN PARTICIPANT’S
STEM ENGAGEMENTS AFTER PARTICIPATING IN
ROBOTICS ACTIVITIES?
1. SURVEY: pre & post
Speciffically (Motivation, Interest, Enjoyment)

RQ2: IS THERE ANY CHANGE IN PARTICIPANT’S
STEM ENGAGEMENTS AFTER PARTICIPATING IN
ROBOTICS ACTIVITIES?
• INTERVIEW – Student

• Behavioral Engagement
• Cognitive Engagement
• Emotional Engagement
• Cognitive

• Emotional

• Behavioral
RQ 3: IS THERE ANY CHANGE IN PARTICIPANTS’
STEM IN LEARNING AFTER PARTICIPATING IN
ROBOTIC ACTIVITIES?

• STEM KNOWLEDGE ASSESMENT

– T-TEST : Changes in participant’s science and
technology knowledge.
– WILCOXON SIGNED RANK TEST : Participant’s
Engineering and Mathematics
– Non-Paramatric Method : Secure power and
validity analysis
RQ 3: IS THERE ANY CHANGE IN PARTICIPANTS’ STEM IN
LEARNING AFTER PARTICIPATING IN ROBOTIC
ACTIVITIES?
• INTERVIEW – student (Triangulation)

• More frequent acknowledgement of learning

science, technology, and engineering than
mathematics
• A lack of articulation of specific STEM content
• More application prior STEM knowledge than
new learning.
• All but two participants reported that they
acquired new STEM knowledge. (Engineering
knowledge was the most frequently
mentioned.)
• Another participant acknowledge her initial
lack of STEM knowledge.
• Some participants articulated less of what
they learned in terms of individual subject.
RQ4: HOW DOES PARTICIPATING IN ROBOTICS ACTIVITIES
INFLUENCE PARTICIPANT’S STEM TEACHING?
• DOCUMENT ANALYSIS: Lesson Plan
– To investigate
• Inclusion of multiple STEM subject
• Use of a robot to teach subject
• Technicality and alignment
• INTERVIEW – Student (Triangulation)

– Plans for STEM teaching to provide early exposure

of young kids including girls to STEM.
– Plans for using robots for STEM teaching

– Robots as a tool to prepare their STEM teaching
