CREATION from WATER
 Cell is ~70% water, so is our BODY!1

 Allah (SWT) mentioned living things are created from water ~1400
years ago in Holy Quran [21:30]

1. Cooper GM. The Cell: A Molecular Approach. 2nd edition. Sunderland (MA): Sinauer Associates; 2000. The Molecular Composition of Cells.Available from:

CLAY is largely WATER
 “The volumetric soil WATER content remaining at field capacity is about
45 to 55% for CLAY”1

 Allah (SWT) mentions about how he created Adam (PBUH)

 [So mention] when your lord said to the angels, "indeed, I am going to
create a human being from clay. So when I have proportioned him and
breathed into him of my [created] soul, then fall down to him in
prostration.” (Holy Quran- 38: 71-72)

 Therefore, Adam (PBUH) was made from and there is no contradiction!

HONEY BEES
 The worker bees, those who gather pollen and make the honey, are
actually ONLY females. The males do not make honey.

 Only recently discovered ~18th century.

 “And your lord (Allah) revealed to the bees: build your hives in
mountains, trees and in what they build. Then eat (for females) from
every fruit and follow (for females) your Lord's enslaved paths,
from their bellies (for females) exits drink of different colors, in it
healing for man. These are signs for those who contemplate” [16:69]
HONEY BEES
 Forthe word "eat": "kuli" is for females; "kul" is for males. The
Quran used "KULI" (FEMALES).

 For the word "follow a path": "usluki" is for females; "usluk" is for
males. The Quran used "USLUKI" (FEMALES).

 For the word "their bellies": "butuniha" is for females; "butunihim" is

for males. The Quran used "BUTUNIHA" (FEMALES).
ANTS
 Only recently (not earlier than 1798)1 we know:

 All worker ants are females.

 All ants that don't have wings are females.

 “Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said (for
females), "O ants, enter your homes so that you do not be crushed by
Solomon and his soldiers while they do not feel it.”

 Forthe word "said": kala (‫ )قال‬is for males. Qaalat (‫ )قالت‬is for
females. The Quran used QAALAT (female).
EMBRYOLOGY
 Inthe Holy Quran, Allah speaks about the stages of man’s embryonic
development:
EMBRYOLOGY
 “And certainly did we create man from an extract of clay.” [23:12]

 “Then we placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging.”[23:13]

 “Then we made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and we made the
clot into a lump [of flesh], and we made [from] the lump, bones, and we
covered the bones with flesh; then we developed him into another
creation. So blessed is Allah , the best of creators. [23:14]”

 Literally, the Arabic word alaqah has three meanings: (1) leech, (2) suspended
thing, and (3) blood clot.

THE TRAVELER, AND THOSE WHOM YOUR RIGHT HANDS POSSESS. INDEED,
ALLAH DOES NOT LIKE THOSE WHO ARE SELF-DELUDING AND BOASTFUL.”
[4:36]
FREEDOM OF
EXPRESSION
 “…Abraham said, "My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead." [ Allah
] said, "Have you not believed?" He said, "Yes, but [I ask] only that my heart
may be satisfied…"

 Curiosity encouraged in the Quran.

CHARITY
"True piety is this: to believe in God, and the Last Day, the Angels, the
Book, and the Prophets, to give of one’s substance, however cherished,
to kinsmen, and orphans, the needy, the traveler, beggars, and to
ransom the slave, to perform the prayer, to pay the zakat.” (Qur’an
2:177)

'In their wealth there is a known share for the beggars and the
destitute’ [Qur’an 70:24-25]

• Zakat is a 2.5% levy on most valuables and savings held for a full year
if their total value is more than a basic minimum known as nisab.
OMAR BIN ABDUL AZIZ
 During his reign, there was a time when
nobody in the Arab kingdom was eligible to
receive Zakat!

 Omar bin Abdul Aziz sent out emissaries to

China and Tibet, inviting their rulers to accept
Islam.

 “God commands you to practice justice,

enjoins you to help and assist your kin and He
forbids obscenity, evil or oppression, so that you
may remember Him” (Qur’an, 16:90).

 He took this verse to his heart and ruled justly

ISLAM IS SPREAD BY
PEACE!
 NEGUS (AL-NAJASHI) OF ABBYSINIA : FIRST RULER TO EMBRACE ISLAM
(613/615 CE)

 Christian Ruler

 3 to 5 Years after 1st Revelation

 He was moved into tears and embraced Islam from Muslim “FUGITIVES” when they
recited verses from the Quran :

 (The angel) said: “I am only a messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of
a righteous son.” She said: “how can I have a son, when no man has touched me, nor am I
unchaste?” He said: “so it will be, your Lord said: ‘that is easy for Me (God): and We wish
to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (God), and it is a matter already
decreed.’ “So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place (i.e. Bethlehem
valley).” (QURAN 19:19-22)
OUT OF CONTEXT!
 “FIGHT THEM UNTIL THERE IS NO [MORE] FITNAH AND
[UNTIL] WORSHIP IS [ACKNOWLEDGED TO BE] FOR ALLAH .”

 TREATY OF HUDAIBIAH WAS BROKEN!

 MUSLIMS WERE PERSECUTED

 UNJUST!

 EVEN AFTER THAT MUSLIMS DID NOT INITIATE THE WAR!

• "Fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do
not begin aggression, for God loves not aggressors." [Noble
Quran 2:190]

• "If they seek peace, then seek you peace and trust in God for
He is the Hearer, the Knower." [Noble Quran 8:61]

• " and let not the hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be
just: that is next to piety; and fear Allah, for Allah is well-
acquainted with all that you do." [Noble Quran 5:8]
DURING & AFTER THE
WAR
 SAYINGS OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PBUH) :
 He prohibited muslim soldiers from killing women, children and the elderly,
or cut a palm tree, and he advised them, "do not betray, do not be excessive, do
not kill a newborn child.”

 "Whoever has killed a person having a treaty with the Muslims shall not
smell the fragrance of Paradise, though its fragrance is found for a span of
forty years."

 "There is a reward for kindness shown to every living animal or human.”

“There is no reproach against you today; God will forgive. He is the

most Merciful and the most Compassionate.” [Holy Qur'an,12:92)]
CRUSADE VS JIHAD
 JIHAD DOES NOT MEAN HOLY WAR!

 JIHAD means “STRIVE TO STRUGGLE"

3 TYPES:

 JIHAD against ONES OWN SELF

 JIHAD for TRUTH – RIGHTS & JUSTICE

 JIHAD against OPPRESSION – PHYSICAL

MILK
 Previously thought: milk comes from white fat near the nipples

 “And in cattle there is a lesson for you, we give you drink, from their
bellies digested food and blood, pure liquid milk for those who drink.”
[Holy Quran – 16:66]

 In 1941, it was observed that milk ejection was a neuroendocrine reflex

(ely and peterson, 1941), and a year later it was observed that a factor called
oxytocin, detected in the BLOOD, caused contraction of the myoepithelial
cells surrounding the alveoli (peterson and ludwick, 1942).1

WOMB
 During menstrual cycle the thickness of the womb
lining (endometrium) increases several folds (2-16mm)

 “Allah knows what every female bears, and every decrease and
increase of the wombs. With him, everything is by measure.” [13:8]
CEREBRUM
 Allah (SWT) said in the Quran about one of the evil unbelievers who
forbade Prophet Muhammad from praying at the Kaaba:

 "No! If he does not stop, We will take him by the naseyah (front of
the head), a lying, sinful naseyah (front of the head)!” [95:15-16]
 A book entitled Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology, “the motivation and
the foresight to plan and initiate movements occur in the anterior portion
of the frontal lobes, the prefrontal area. The prefrontal area is also
thought to be the functional center for aggression...”
