Buildings built on Energy and environmental
efficient standards -
Site selection: Close to municipal infrastructure; not in fertile farm land; away from ecologically critical
spots
Design: Maximize use of natural contours, light, heat, wind and water; minimize built area
Construction: Prevent destruction of tree cover, top soil, and natural water channels; use low-energy
recycled material
Products, systems and processes:
that reduce energy (lighting and cooling)
that reduce, recycle and recharge water;
that reduce and recycle waste
Renewable Energy technologies
Geothermal system:
At a depth of 100-400 feet, temperatures remain
constant through the year– depends on site and soil
condition.
Geothermal systems use this temperature differential
(surface vs. depth) for heating/cooling
A coolant is pumped underground for heat exchange
This significantly reduces the overall tonnage of the
compressor and energy consumption
This will be coupled with a passive cooling system,
where an underground air tunnel will be used to cool-
down ambient air
Energy consumption reduction upto 40%-65%
depending on location when combined with earth air
tunnel
Average Payback around 3 years
Innovative cooling solutions-
Unique technology to combine night sky, earth air tunnel & stack effect system to
cool, ventilate and heat naturally
Low cost natural ventilation effect:
Innovation cooling systems - Technology of
chilled Beam systems
Chilled beams can other wise be called as Fan coil units with out fan
The unit removes only sensible load and hence uses dry cooling coil
Bio-Methane - recycle biodegradable waste to
sustain energy production:
True alchemy; can handle all kinds of biodegradable waste -Food waste, animal
waste, paper
1 Ton waste generates 2 LPG @19kg each-cylinders worth of gas or can generate
upto 120-140 units of electricity a day with biogas power generator.
Our aerobic-anaerobic process is superior to traditional anaerobic systems:
Can handle greater diversity of waste
50% reduction in process time
Odorless/weedless byproduct that can serve as urea substitute
No scum generated
Equipment does not corrode
Area required approx 100 m2 for a 1 ton input organic waste / day plant.
Payback period around 2 – 3 years
RAIN WATER HARVESTING- INTEGRATED APPROACH
During monsoons, the earth absorbs up to 30%
of rainfall. This can drop to as low as 0-5% for
built areas. One Acre of land receives over 3
million liters of water in single monsoon season
depending on rainfall in that area.
The remaining water runs off, and is lost
Rainwater harvesting captures runoff water to
store & reuse, or to recharge the water table.
Runoff water channeled using pipes into a basic
filtration system, and then into a large storage
tank
This water could be used for non-potable
purposes
Water overflows from the storage tank will be
used to recharge the water table using aquifers
Opportunities to become water positive and
ensuring water sustainability
