Reduce Tension by Relaxation Exercises

• Lie on the floor


PRESENTATION

• Pull your legs closer so that the knees are up in the


air
• Close your eyes
• Put your entire body weight at the lower spine.
• Slowly raise your neck and lengthen it
• Continue to do relax each part of the body like foot,
torso, shoulder, hands, legs.

• Stand on equal surface floor with foot around 6


inches apart
PRESENTATION

• Arms by the side, fingers open.


• Gently shake your body. Start from fingers, hands,
elbows, shoulder, torso, head, hips, legs, foot
• Rotate your head clock wise and anti-clockwise
keeping your body still.
• Move your shoulders front and backwards
• Concentrate on shaking the tension out.

• Stand in front of a full length mirror and watch


yourself.

• Watch your eyes, hands, neck, mouth.


• Smile a few times on the mirror, take a part of your

• Do mental visualisation of the room, people,
material etc.
• Visualize the entire sequence of your presentation

• Look at the seating arrangements.


• Watch at each of the participant. If possible, have a
chat with them
• Drink a glass of water (Do not gulp).
• Take deep breath for 2-3 times.
• Identify the most tense part of the body and
concentrate on it.
• Say to yourself “I CAN DO IT”

• Not everyone in this world will agree with you.


PRESENTATION

• Disagreement does not mean that you made a


mistake.
• Somebody may try to corner you with a complex
question and prove their ability among the crowd.
• Break the questions, judge the questioner and
answer.
• Do not rush to the answers.

• This does not mean that you did not explain the
subject.
• This means that the questioner has deeper interest
than others.
• Give more time for people to recollect their thoughts
and ask for questions.

is provided.

• Keep 5-10% of your time of the Presentation for the


Question and Answer and Summary Session.
PRESENTATION

• Repeat the question to understand correctly and is


reached to all in the group.
• If you do not understand the question, ask the
questioner to repeat it.
• When you reply, reply to everyone in the group and
not only to the questioner.
• Explain the answer with an example or co-relate
with your presentation points

• An answer can vary between 20 Seconds to 1


Minute.
PRESENTATION

• Less than 20 seconds, answer is too short and


more than a minute, it is too elaborate.
• If you are not able to answer the question, accept it
and assure to get back.
• Meet your commitment as per the assurance given.
• Do not deviate beyond a point from your
presentation.
• Praise the questioner for raising the point

• Do not put both hands into pockets. One hand is

• Do not show your back to the audience while


looking at the visuals, flipcharts, board etc.

• Pause at Punctuation marks.
