OBJECTIVES
• General
To improve the conservation and sustainable use of the oceans
and their resources.

• Specific
Through branches of biotechnology as is biology and
biochemistry we will know the work of some microorganisms
that will help us to contribute with this prey by means like
biorremediation.
INTRODUCTION

Pollution is the introduction of harmful pollutants

that are not common in a given ecosystem. Some of
the most common pollutants derived from human
activity are pesticides, herbicides, chemical
fertilizers, detergents, hydrocarbons, wastewater,
plastics and other solids. Many of these pollutants
accumulate in the depths of the ocean, where they
are ingested by small marine organisms through
which they enter the global food chain.
SEA CREATURES AFFECTED BY MARINE POLLUTION
• Whales
• Seals
• Turtles
• Sea birds
• Manatees
SHIP ACCIDENTS AND ACCIDENTAL OIL SPILLAGES AT
THE SEA

About 70% of oil spills are discharing directly in
