ESSAY
BABY’S HEALTH AND DIRT
I personally agree to research by Dr.
Gilbert. Why?
Have you ever heard, “Do not play with the
mud!” or “Don’t eat food that has fallen!”? Or do
you remember when your mom or dad said those
things? Generally, all parents don’t want if their
baby play with dirt. This over fear makes parent
being so over-protective to their baby dan limit
their movement. Limiting baby’s movement will
affect their growth. As we know, in the beginning of
life, baby are like to find out about things around
them.
Many research shows that baby who live in
dirty places are relatively stronger against germs
than baby who live in a cleaner environment. Why?
The place and environment will get used them to
contact with dirty things. Germs that come from
dirty place has wonderful effect in the future. After
the germs contact with the body, the germs will
force the body to against them by immune system.
When the immune system out, it creates new
protection for the body. But that does not mean
that baby need to live in a dirty environment.
Parents still have responsibility to pay attention to
everything that their baby did.
Research by U.S Daily Mail said, “Babies who
are exposed to household and even rodent bacteria
in the first year of their life were found to be far
less likely to develop allergies, wheezing, and
asthma.” This research strengthened by research
by Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology
which said that babies who exposed by bacteria,
germs, or certain allergen will have a new
protection that shaped by their own immune
response.
Every research that has been done and
published, that support to let babies contact to
dirty things, doesn’t mean to make parents stop
caring about their babies. It should growth parent’s
responsibilities to protecting their babies without
stop their sense of exploring. How?
After babies contact with dirty things or dirty
place, get used them to clean up their body.
Parents should teach them how to clean it up.
Other that, parents should be a great role model for
their babies, especially to show them how to keep
the body clean after exploring something and the
way to keep the body health with good life style.
