• Kurt Schwitters (20 June 1887 – 8

January 1948) was a German artist who


was born in Hanover, Germany.
• Schwitters worked in several genres and
media, including dadaism, He is most
famous for his collages, called Merz
Pictures.
• Willem de Kooning (April 24, 1904 – March 19,
1997) was a Dutch abstract expressionist artist.
• He painted in a style that came to be referred to
as Abstract expressionism or "action painting",
and was part of a group of artists that came to be
known as the New York School.
• Robert Rauschenberg (October 22,
1925 – May 12, 2008) was an American
painter and graphic artist whose early
works anticipated the pop art
movement. Rauschenberg is well known
for his "Combines"
• Gerhard Richter (German: born 9 February 1932)
is a German visual artist. Richter has produced
abstract as well as photorealistic paintings, and
also photographs and glass pieces.
• Anselm Kiefer (born 8 March 1945) is a German
painter and sculptor.
• Kiefer is best known for his paintings, which
have grown increasingly large in scale with
additions of lead, broken glass, and dried
flowers or plants, resulting in encrusted surfaces
and thick layers of impasto.
