– Isaiah 57:15-16
• "For thus says the High and Lofty One Who
inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell
in the high and holy place, With him who has a
contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of
the humble, And to revive the heart of the
contrite ones. For I will not contend forever,
Nor will I always be angry; For the spirit would
fail before Me, And the souls which I have
made. – Isaiah 57:15-16 (NKJV)

Haughtiness: The manifestation and its
danger (Isaiah 3:16-4:1)
• 1 Peter 5:5 says that God resists the proud
but gives His grace to the humble.
• The proud in the passage is the one with
spirit of haughtiness i.e. high minded people.
Many are proud in the Bible context but
never realise it. The life of Hamman
demonstrated it in the times of Mordecai.
• How do you know that you are proud in the
according to the Bible?
 Haughtiness: The manifestation and its danger

1. If you feel superior to people around you
because of your position or possession.
2. If you are often offended because your
suggestion or opinion is not accepted by the
group you belong to.
3. If you consciously struggle for recognition
and/or power.
4. If you often complain that people don’t respect
you.
5. If you are often pre-occupied with your look

Haughtiness: The manifestation and its

What are the dangers associated with
arrogance/haughtiness?
1. Loss of favour with helpers who are below
you in status.
2. Push by sycophants to error and disgrace.
3. Loneliness in the midst of crowd.
4. Frustration and possibility of depression.
5. Exposure to enemy attack and eventually
self-destruction.
 HUMILITY AND THE GRACE OF GOD
What are the signs of humility?
1. Always giving glory to God for achievements
instead of taking credit as if it your making.
2. Recognising people and making them feel loved
regardless of their status.
3. Seeking the good of people without expecting
them to worship you in turn.
4. Respecting people without demand respect
though you command.
5. Humility is not self-depreciation or low self-
esteem; it God confidence above self-confidence
 Afflictions of the righteous and the
deliverance of The LORD.
• Ps 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the LORD delivers him out of them all. -
(NKJV)
• The powerful of the world may seem to win for a
while but surely God has not forgotten His
children, if we can call upon Him He will rise for
our help.
• In this month God has purposed to deliver, to
save and turn our sorrow to joy in Jesus name.
 Hope and Prosperity
• Light means joy that brightens one’s face.
• It can also means prosperity which gives hope.
• Every hopeless situations of our lives shall be
turned around for hope and gladness in Jesus
name.
• The LORD our God is turning the table against
those who are against Christ and Christianity
in Nigeria.
• God will deal with them as He dealt with
Hamman in this month.
 The Charge and Altar Call
• The question we all need to ask ourselves this
morning is this, are you a Jew?
• The traditional Jews are the Israelites but those
of us that have been washed in the blood of the
lamb and made children of God are the Jews of
today.
• Are you truly born of God. Are you born of the
Spirit or you still live by the flesh and carnal
motive?
• The events that are coming forth soonest in
Nigeria will differentiate between the true Jews
and mix multitudes. 11
