Weight of Normal (125m) Truss: 1750 MT
Net period available for Assembling: 24 months
Required rate of Assembling: 2.0 Truss/ Month
Each line will comprise of stacking area of Finished Member, Dedicated Gantry of 80
Ton Capacity, Assembling Bed and other requisites.
Assembling will be carried out in two stages. At First the entire truss of 125 m span
will be assembled in 3 components each weighing around 125 Mt.
In the second stage the three members will be further assembled with Bottom and

•For central portion i.e. portion between two trusses Deck Slab panel of size 10.5m x 3m is proposed.
The deck slab panel spans in longitudinal direction, between transverse beams (Top Cross Girders; Main
and Intermediate).
•For supporting panels in cantilever Zone, we have proposed to add bracket beam at all cross girder
Locations. Bracket Beams are double web Box section.
•Between precast panels in-situ concrete will be placed above Top Chord, Cross girders and Bracket; so
as to ensure integrity and continuity of precast panels with the composite steel girders. As all in- situ
concrete is fully supported by Top chord, Intermediate Cross Girder, Main Cross Girder and Bracket,
there is no Staging and formwork is required. This result in saving of times required for erection and
removal of formwork.

4. Use of Mastic and BC for better riding quality and improving life of Wearing Coarse
50mm BC over 12mm Mastic provides better serviceability, riding quality, and life to the wearing than that
conventionally used. Also it provides better water proofing to the Deck Slab and better surface drainage.
5. Launching
Work for Pier Caps for the Sub-structure are not started yet. Delay in this activity can be bottle -neck for
Launching .
