ADJECTIVE – ADJECTIVE CLAUSE
Adjective : A word or phrase naming an attribute added to or grammatically related
to a noun to modify or describe it. When an adjective is describe a noun,
we say it is “modify” it. Adjective can :
 are honest (give nasionality or origin, tell us about size and measurement, express a
judgement or a value)

USING WHERE
Where is used in an adjective clause to modify a place (city, country, room, house).

Example :
1. Tanjungpinang is a city, I was born
=> Tanjungpinang is a city where I was born

2. That’s the park, they met 9 years ago


=> That’s the park where they met 9 years ago
USING WHEN
When is used in an adjective clause to modify a noun of time (year, day, time,
ceuntry).

Example :
1. I’ll never forget the day, I hold your hand
=> I’ll never forget the day when I hold your hand

2. she don’t remember that time, she fell into the swimming pool
=> She don’t remember that time when she fell into the swimming pool

Usedfor humans, animals and things in subject or object positon (but see below)

Example :
1. She is the lady that helped me find the magazine
