The plain or open seam This is made on the wrong side of

the fabric and is inconspicuous.


The plain seam is used on almost all fabrics except
transparent ones.

Instructions
Put the instructions into the right order
2. • Pin together, first at the balance marks and then the
full length of the seam.
4. • Tack over the pins, but lower than the fitting line.
5. • Remove the tacks and fasten off the ends of the machining.
7. • Press the seam open.
1. • Lay the two pieces of the fabric together with the
right sides of the fabric touching one another.
3. • Insert the pins vertically to the edge of the fabric.
6. • Remove the pins and machine on the fitting line.
