Transporting patient from POI


to provide first aid

Transporting patient from POI


to the closets medical facility,
which should ideally be
conducted within (1) hour
from Injury

Extraction Technique.

Extraction is the emergency transfer of patients from POI to


a safer place and allows for first aid / emergency. The
principle of this emergency transfer is the airway must be
open and pay attention to the possibility of injury to the
neck and spine.

Extraction Techniques can be using a stretcher and without


stretcher

Extraction without Stretcher :

Dragging with hand pulls. This


method is done if there is an
injury to the victim's hands.

Transporting without Stretcher

Position. The first step of transporting patient without a stretcher is to


adjust the position of the patients.

If Unconsciousness. Position of the patient must be rolled over to face


down or on his back according to the method of transportation to be
carried out.

Transporting People by One Person

 Squat carriers slipped their hands under the

 The patient is set up while being pulled backwards.
 The carrier turns to the front of the patient, then the
carrier kneels and places the patient's pubic bone
on the helper's shoulder, holding the patient's arms
and legs
 The left hand and the carriage are resting on the
ground and start stand up
 Correct the location of the patient and try the
patient's pubic bone to be located on the helper's
shoulder (if the stomach is on the shoulder it will
cause pain due to pressure).
 Start walking.

 The carrier stands next to the limb of the


patient while the the limbs are propped
against the back of the patient's leg.

 One helper's hand holds the patient's


wrist and is embraced through the nape
of the neck and held.

 The other helper's hand embraced the


patient's waist from behind.

 Then the patients walk, the helper


follows (may not overtake).

 The patient is placed above

 The other hand of the carrier


embraces the waist of the patient
from behind. Then the patient
walks, the helper follows not to
overtake.

• Patients are lying around

healthy part of the patient's body
• a squat helper with a knee level above
is in the direction of the patient's head
• the helper puts his hands under the
patient's body to the right angle.
• the patient is removed and placed on
the upper thigh of the helper, while
repairing the helper's hand position

closing the patient's body to the
helper body

.This method can also be used to transport people with fainting and patients with
injuries to the chest

 The Helper places oneself in front and one


behind the patient, the patient's initial position is
supine.
 the helper behind the squat while holding the
patient, while the helper in front of the squat
places himself between the two legs of the
patient.
 the rescuer puts his hands under his armpits
and holds on to the chest of the patient, while
the other helper holds both feet of the patient on
the knee of the sufferer.

Stop: This command is said when the left foot of


No-2 falls on the ground and adds 2 more steps.

 Patients are placed. the two helpers

 Lifting the patient and placing it on
top of the thigh, the helper lifts the
patient and starts walking.
