CONCLUSION
The conclusion of this study was based on the different experimental analysis that
was done by the researchers.
1. Upon conducting the Phytochemical screening of the methanolic leaf extract of Lantara
camara (Kantutai), glycosides, carbohydrates and phenolic compounds and tannins are
obtained as constituents.
2. Based on the Fourier Transport Infrared Spectroscopy analysis, alcohol / phenol, amide and
alkenyl, and aromatic ring are found.
3. The methanolic leaf extract of Lantana camara (Kantutai) exhibit anti–quorum sensing
activity at the concentration of 75% against the said species Pseudomonas aeruginosa and
Staphylococcus aureus.
4. There is no significant difference between the methanolic leaf extract of Lantana camara
(kantutai) with the positive control chloramphenicol in the inhibition of qouum-sensing activity.
5. There is a significant difference between the methanolic leaf extract of Lantana camara
(kantutai) with the negative control distilled water in the inhibition of quorum-sensing activity.
Therefore the methanolic leaf extract of Lantana camara (kantutai) exhibit anti–quorum
sensing activity against the species of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus.
