 Pendahuluan
Trauma adalah penyebab ketiga terbesar kematian dan kecacatan di
seluruh dunia, terutama di usia dekade keempat di negara berkembang.
Sistem penilaian trauma mencoba menerjemahkan keparahan cedera
menjadi angka, membantu menilai secara kuantitatif berat ringannya
cedera, memperkirakan hasil akhir trauma, bahkan berguna dalam audit
dan penelitian klinis.

 KASUS
Seorang pria usia 65 tahun trauma kepala

akibat kecelakaan lalu lintas dibawa ke unit
gawat darurat. Setelah dilakukan
pemeriksaan tingkat kesadaran pasien secara
kuantitatif didapatkan pasien membuka
mata dengan ransangan nyeri, verbal kata-
kata kacau, dan motorik fleksi normal
terhadap rangsangan nyeri. Pada
pemeriksaan vital sign diperoleh TD: 90/60
mmHg, RR: 30 x/menit (adanya otot bantu
napas dan retraksi dinding dada), N: 100
x/mnt, T: 36,70C. CRT > 2 detik
