future actions and
events in the
following ways:
1. Present to refer to a scheduled event like a bus,
simple train or flight schedule or a habitual
action.
2. Present be + ing form (gerund) – to refer to an
continuous action which has been decided and
planned and which is expected to occur
in the near future. You can only use it if
you have details like the time or place
when the action is going to occur.

3. Will + infinitive to refer to a prediction, a decision

made at the moment of speaking
(in contrast to a planned
decision). In the interrogative
form, it is used to make a

4. Going to + to refer to a future action which
infinitive has been decided but not planned
or for future intentions.
