• Cinnamon sp : Family Laurance ( tropis and sub-


tropis area)
• Application : Herbal Medicine(antioxidant
activity)
• The Contents : cinnamaldehyde, eugenol,
cinnamic acid etc.

Sample Preparation
Bark of cinnamon was collected from the local
market at Visakhapatnam, AP. The bark was
cleaned and dried under sunlight for 24 h. The
dried bark was powdered. Cinnamon powder
was sieved by using different particle sizes
ranging from 354 to 125 microns.

Result and Disccusion
• The best mobile phase is methanol
• The consentration of cinnamaldehyde that
observed to 44,6 mg/L and the consentration
was increased to 52 mg/L from the column
chromatography
• The purity of cinnamaldehyde was improved by
column chromatography

Conclusion
• The Contents of cinnamon sp are
cinnamaldehyde, eugenol, cinnamic acid etc
• The best mobile phase is methanol
• The consentration of cinnamaldehyde that
observed to 44,6 mg/L and the consentration
