 GEOLOGY
■ Mulyorejo sub-district has
alluvial soil types composed
of clay-to-gravel rhombic
minerals, with a variety of
taupe, which are locally found
in fossil shell fragments
(Romadhani, 2015).

 CLIMATOLOGY

■ The climate of Surabaya is tropical.
■ The maximum average of humidity in
Mulyorejo sub-district in 2016
was98and the minimum average of
humidity was 38. While for maximum
average of air pressure in Mulyorejo
Sub--district in 2016 was 1013,9 and
the minimum average of air pressure
was 1010. And for maximum average of
temperature in Mulyorejo Sub--district in
2016 was 35,6 and the minimum
average of temepature was 20.4.

Sub--district in 2016 was 18 days and
the average in Sukolilo in 2013 was

 PROBLEM
■ Based on geographical conditions the problems are, with a land height of 3 meters above sea
level, with rainfall of 3,000 mm / year and a low topography enables floods in the area in the
rainy season. Especially in some areas that we found with soil type of alluvial in the Mulyorejo
and other residential areas that lower than the road height.
■ Based on regional boundaries seen from physiographic conditions. It can be seen that the
Mulyorejo village is an area bordering a higher area. It caused the eastern and southern areas
of Mulyorejo sub-district to be easily affected by flooding because the eastern boundary of the
Dukuh Sutorejo village that was higher than in the eastern part of Mulyorejo. And the area
of the southern Mulyorejo sub-district was more easily affected by floods due to Manyar
Sabrangan and Kejawen Putih village.
 PROBLEM
■ Distance orbit from the sub-district government center is 0.05 Km. Distance from
the city government center is 3 Km. Distance from the provincial government center
is 3 Km. The proximity of the government centers has made the Mulyorejo village
area often Traffic Jam.
■ Hydrology that can be known is that the surrounding community uses clean water
supply through the PDAM. Where there is a secondary river that borders the
Mulyorejo village, but outside the Mulyorejo village. With a height of only 300 meters
above sea level, the quality of well water is bad. This type of groundwater is rather
brackish / slightly salty with low potential. It has a potential of around 1400 - 1800
m3 / day. With the quality of water that is not good for use as drinking water.
 POTENCY
■ Based on the geological conditions known the type of alluvial soil in the Mulyorejo village
area. Alluvial soil has benefits in agriculture, one of which is to facilitate the irrigation
process on agricultural land. Alluvial soil can be used as agricultural land because of its
relatively high nutrient content.
■ Mulyorejo Village, including the region with this classification of "Low Brackish Ground /
Low Potential Salty Ground Water" has a potential of around 1400 - 1800 m3 / day.
Becouse of that low rate of groundwater discharge, it is recommended that the users use
it for households or settlements development, except for drinking water.
■ Distance orbit from the sub-district government center is 0.05 Km. The distance from the
city administration center is 3 Km. The distance from the provincial government center is
3 Km. The proximity of these government centers makes the area strategic.
THE HISTORY OF MULYOSARI
■ Mulyosari is formed of two words those are Mulyo and Sari that means
“Intisarinya kemulyaan”.
