SENSORY ORGAN : EYES

• Eye is the sense organ of sight.

• Eye are held in place by six muscles that are joined to
the outside of the eyeball and attached to the skull.
• The muscles allow the eyeball movement within the
eye socket.

• Cones - allow us to see in bright light and objects can be seen
in different colours.

Optic nerve Optic nerve are located at the back of the eyes that can Receives nerve messages from the retina and takes these

Choroid The middle layer of the eye It contains blood vessels that supply the eye with nutrients. The
choroid forms the iris at the front of the eye.
How eye see objects?
SENSORY ORGAN : EARS

• The eardrum will vibrating when

sound waves enter the ear canal.
• Divided into 4 parts which are:
1. Outer Part
2. Middle Part
3. Inner Part
4. Vestibules
SENSORY ORGAN : EARS
OUTER PART OF THE EAR • Made up of 2 parts which are called :
1. Pinna
2. Ear Canal
• Capture and concentrates the sound that we hear
that will be channels into the middle part of the ear.
• Pinna – a soft and flexible tissue that plays an
important role in shaping sound in order to help
brain work out the direction from the sound coming.
• Ear Canal – Known as the physical pathway that
directs sound that are arrived at the outer to the
middle ear
SENSORY ORGAN : EARS
MIDDLE PART OF THE EAR
• Starts at the eardrum which will be vibrating due to
differences pressure that are caused by a
soundwaves.
• The eardrum are connected to the 3
interconnected small bones that are known as
Ossicles that also vibrating with the eardrum.
SENSORY ORGAN : EARS
INNER PART OF THE EAR • Contains the organ that create the sense of
hearing and also balance.
• The organ are known as Cochlea that con
converts mechanical sound vibrations into
nerve signals.
• Contains of hair-like nerve filament that also
known as hair cells which are arranged so that it
can respond to different pitches.
• The electrica;l currents that are produced in the
Cochlea are transmitted to the auditory nerve.
SENSORY ORGAN : EARS
THE VESTIBULE

• Contains of Semicircular Canals that is the

organs that provides us with sense of balance,
spatial orientation and also directions of the
coming sound.
