a school is ...
No island where people are surrounded
the place where they make friends,
of fences on all sides.
it's not just about buildings, classrooms, rooms, blackboards, Nothing to live with people
programs, schedules, concepts ... and then discover
School is about everything, that there is no Friendship with anyone.

WHAT IS A SCHOOL COEXISTENCE
MANUAL?

Es el conjunto de normas que direccionan el funcionamiento de toda la comunidad

educativa, las cuales permiten identificar las situaciones que afectan la convivencia escolar
y el clima comunitario, generando acciones para contribuir al fortalecimiento de las
competencias ciudadanas, las relaciones con el otro, atención a la diversidad y a la
inclusión.
 La convivencia es un elemento central de la formación humana integral, por ello es
conveniente comprender su naturaleza y su dinámica propia dentro de la institución
escolar (Secretaría de Educación de Bogotá, período 2008-2012).
 De esta forma el material elaborado por el ente distrital bogotano explica la definición de
lo que es el Manual de Convivencia dentro de la comunidad educativa. Se basa en la
formación humana que deben tener los estudiantes en el instituto donde ellos desarrollen
el hecho educativo.
 En la Ley 115 de 1994, en su Artículo 87 se establece: “Los establecimientos educativos
tendrán un reglamento o manual de convivencia, en el cual se definan los derechos y
obligaciones, de los estudiantes.
 Los padres o tutores y los educandos al firmar la matrícula correspondiente en
representación de sus hijos, estarán aceptando el mismo” (Congreso de la República de
Colombia, 1994).
Who are the people that make up the
educational community?

 Según lo dispuesto en el artículo 18 del Decreto 1860 de 1994 la comunidad educativa

está conformada por: a. Las y los estudiantes que se han matriculado. b. Los padres,
madres, acudientes o en su derecho, y los responsables de la educación del grupo de
estudiantes matriculados. c. Las y los docentes vinculados que laboren en la institución. d.
Las y los directivos docentes y administradores escolares que cumplen funciones directas
en la prestación del servicio educativo. e. Las y los egresados organizados para
participar.
