LESSONS
• Verbal reminders should follow after letter Re: Required Document to be submitted by the LGU’s
• Coordination meeting with key personnel should be conducted to set target and clear assignment of
the personnel involve before implementation of the project
• In case of problems during the implementation of the project, a special coordination meeting should
be conducted, followed by close monitoring of agreed solutions.
• Prepare report and recommend correcting actions, if needed Re Quality of the Work after Project
Monitoring.
• Review Detailed Engineering Design and other documents submitted by the LGU before releasing of
Fund.
• Coordinate to MLGOO and Provincial Office the status, findings and recommendations, if any during
the duration of project implementation
• Do not release information that is not official or in written form
• Impose strict compliance of applicable rules before, during and after implementation of the project.
LESSONS
• Conduct an Exit Conference with Key Personnel and ensure that the discussions and commitment
are approved and noted by the LCE.
• Coordination meeting should be in record through preparation of minutes of meeting and copy
furnished to offices concerned
• Fund Downloads and Notices Re Conduct of CapDev Activities should be given in advance to
ensure implementation of the Activities/Seminars in timely manner
• Duplication of Duties should be avoided to ensure a sense of responsibility of the personnel
involve

CHALLENGES
CHALLENGES
• Untimely submission of LGU of the required reporting documents specifically, Statement of Work
Accomplishment (SWA) and Report of Disbursement (ROD)
• Non- Submission of required supporting documents regardless of written and verbal reminders to
LGU
• An inappropriate vehicle used during the conduct of Project monitoring to areas with difficult
road situation
• Uncooperative LGUs during the conduct of project monitoring/Inspection i.e. Absence of key
personnel despite of letter regarding the schedule to LGU
• Validating the Statement of Work Accomplished submitted by LGU
• Absorptive capacity of LGU in implementation of the projects especially in the Technical Side
.

• One on one coaching to LGU during document preparation
• Acquire additional knowledge from experienced Engineers during site visit
• Acquire real life experience for effective Project Management, Fund Management and Project
implementation
• Satisfaction with regards to profession and agency we were working with, through the knowledge
that what we are doing help the beneficiaries.
