 Intoday’s rapidly digitalizing world in the
need to find active approach to teaching and
learning mathematics to allow students to
become involved in discovery and to
consolidate their knowledge some
mathematical softwares were developed.
Thousands of teachers are using maths
softwares in their classrooms believing that
mathematics teaching can be made much
more interesting, inventive and explorative
using them.
 These applications not only solve your
mathematical problems effortlessly but
also help you learn the subject deeper
and better. From algebra and geometry
to graphs and matrices, these softwares
let us learn mathematics in a much easier
way.
 Geogebra is a free math software that is
useful for both teachers and students.
 It is a powerful platform that helps students
learn math effectively and solve math
problems on different topics that include
vectors, calculus, linear programming,
algebra, complex numbers, statistics and
more.
 Available as an app also.
 We can also insert the pictures made in
GeoGebra in LaTeX.
 Khan Academy is a non-profit educational
organization. The organization produces
short lectures in the form of YouTube videos.
It includes features such as progress
tracking, practice exercises,and teaching
tools.
 All resources are available to users of the
website. The website and its content are
provided mainly in English, but are also
available in other languages.
 Also available as app.
 Pythagorea is a collection of geometric
puzzles of different kind that can be solved
without complex constructions or
calculations. All objects are drawn on a grid
whose cells are squares. A lot of levels can
be solved using just geometric intuition or
by finding natural laws, regularity, and
symmetry.
 It gives a different view of constructions,
discover new methods and tricks, and check
their(students) geometric intuition.
 Desmos is an advanced graphing
calculator implemented as a browser
application and a mobile application.
 Users can create accounts and save the
graphs and plots that they have created
to them.
 Its free of cost.
 Euclidea has been shown to help with
imagination, intuition, and logic, all
wonderful skills to develop.
 The app works by providing tasks to
solve interesting challenges by building
geometric constructions with a
straightedge and compass. If the user
designs the most elegantly simple
solutions in the least number of moves,
he earns the highest scores.
 It’s
a geometric calculator: Calculates
plane and solid figures:
Triangle, square, rectangle,
parallelogram, rhombus, trapezoid,
rectangle, polygon, circle, circle, ellipse.
Sphere, cube, box, cylinder, cone,
truncated cone, prism, pyramid,
truncated pyramid, the octahedron.
A pocket handy formula sheet for maths.
 Formulas can be seen without internet
connection.
 You can find the details formulas of Math
in another app All Math Formulas.
 It is a free android app.
 The user has to just point the camera towards a math
problem and Photomath will magically show the
result with a detailed step-by-step instructions.
 Photomath supports arithmetics , integers, fractions,
decimal numbers, roots, algebraic expressions,
linear equations/inequalities, quadratic
equations/inequalities, absolute
equations/inequalities, systems of equations,
logarithms, trigonometry, exponential and
logarithmic functions, derivatives and integrals.
 The history of past solved math problems can also be
checked in the app.
 Algeo Graphing Calculator provide great
graphing calculator functions, as well as
many scientific calculator operations and
constants.
 This app can be used as:
• Graphing Calculator
• Scientific Calculator
• Algebra Calculator
• Calculus Calculato
 Mathway is a online math learning aid that
allows us to plug in equations and display
step-by-step solutions to get to the final
answer.
 The user has to just input the problem or
import it using camera. Mathway provides
the answer.
 It covers a range of topics from basic math,
algebra, calculus.
 Mathway's subscription for step-by-step
solutions is paid.
 Also available as an app.
 The Socratic method, is all about asking
questions.
 The user has to just take a photo of a
math equation or homework question and
Socratic's AI not only finds an answer, but
delivers step-by-step solutions as well as
important terms, definitions, and other
things related to the question.
 Its user friendly as the whole thing
appears as a conversation.
 Mathspace aims to replace physical textbooks
entirely by providing students and teachers with a
digital math textbook and course, complete with
interactive lessons on a variety of topics.
 The app comes with interactive problems that users
can solve step by step, complete with handwriting
recognition for writing down solutions and answers.
An adaptive learning engine provides clear
feedback and always tries to keep problems
properly challenging for users level.
 Mathspace includes video lessons, teacher feedback
tools, and covers everything from algebra to
geometry, graphing, probability and statistics.
 It’s a paid app.
 Kahoot
 PhET
 TEDEd
 Robocompass
 geometryx
 Trigonometry. Unit
circle.
 GeoGebra graphing calculator
 GeoGebra 3D graphing calculator
 There are numerous resources for
learning and teaching maths but have
some technicalities. These require some
basic programming knowledge(like
C,C++, Fortan, Python, Java) for the users.
 For higher class mathematics these can
be used.
 Maplesoft
 Gnuplot
 Sagemath
 Axiom
 gnuplot is a free and open source
software command-line program that can
generate two- and three-dimensional
plots of functions and data. It is frequently
used for publication-quality graphics as
well as in education.
 It is also capable of producing LaTeX
code.
 Applications like Octave and MATLAB
use it as a plotting engine.
 MATLAB (matrix laboratory) is a multi-
paradigm numerical
computing environment. A proprietary
programming language developed
by MathWorks, MATLAB allows matrix
manipulations , plotting of functions and
data.
 GNU Octave is an open source and free
software programming language aimed
to solve numerical computations.
 Developed by IBM, it is an open source
algebra system for your PC that features
a compiler, a computer commentator and
a library for your assistance.
 It helps you to create 2D or 3D graphics
with additional features like lighting and
rotation using the “HyperDoc”.
 Sagemath is an open source and free
software.
 This includes topics like calculus, algebra
and more.
 Sagemath uses many software packages and
smoothly assimilates their features for a
common usage. It features an interface that’s
a notebook seated in a web browser that
connects to either its own installation or to
another Sage server on the network. It is
more suited for research, studies, and
education.
