PROCESS

• Rinse water 2-5 ppm chromic acid passed through


1st Exchanger
• Metals absorbed in 1st Exchanger
• Rinse water passed through 2nd Exchanger
• Chromic Acid absorbed in 2nd Exchanger
• Pure deionised water which comes out of 2nd
Exchanger can be collected and reused
• Absorbed chromic acid is stripped from the 2nd
Exchanger with NaOH
• Excess Alkali is absorbed in 3rd Exchanger
• 3-5% Chromic Acid recovered after 3rd Exchanger
