1.0: INTRODUCTION

 Hydro power uses a turbine which to generate electricity by using the

energy of falling or flowing water to turn the blades.
 The rotating blades spin a generator that converts the mechanical energy
of the spinning turbine into electrical energy.
 So that, the amount of electricity generated from each power plant
depends on the quantity and also the height from which it falls.
2.0: DATA ANALYSIS

 In this project, our group were given a task to do a prototype of the

hydropower plant.
 There are three things main element to generate electricity which is water,
turbine, and generator.
 For prototype design, it determined the things that make a similar like
hydropower plant.
 The system of hydropower plant is determined by build a block diagram
which is mean to identified needs to use as the prototype.
 The three main elements plays important role to make this prototype
successfully.
3.0: RESULTS

 It is fully completed of the hydropower

prototype.
 The bottle is represent as a dam which
means the water flow in high pressure to the
plastic spoon .
 When the water pour on plastic spoon, the
plastic spoon spin and rotate.
 The plastic spoon act as turbine.
 Indirectly, the shaft that was attached with
Compact Disc (CD) is also rotate.
 Otherwise, the shaft is also attached with DC
motor which is to generate electricity when
the shaft is rotate.
 This prototype is designed to converts from
kinetic energy to electrical energy.

4.0: DISCUSSION

 Our main purpose is to explore the application of Power System which

about the renewable energy source that generates electricity.
 Nowadays, hydropower is the most often used.
 Besides, it is the one of the oldest sources of the energy and was used
thousands of years ago to turn a paddle wheel for purposes .
 The amount of available energy in moving water is determined by its flow
or fall.
 The principal of hydropower is that the potential energy of the water
stored at great heights in the dam is converted into kinetic energy by
allowing the water flow at the high speed.
5.0: CONCLUSION

 Should encourage the use of hydropower because it does not cause air
pollution or greenhouse gasses.
 Hydropower is one of the cleanest sources of energy and is also the most
reliable and cheapest.
 Using hydropower has mostly great advantages.
 It could help us make more electricity faster, consistently and sustainably
for the future.
