•The distribution system was designed to meet the water
requirements of the floating population of Sri Patteeswarar
Temple and to be economic.
•The data obtained from the Perur Town Panchayat
contained all information like the general particulars,
population and existing water supply system of Perur that
were essential for our project.
•The norms and standards given by the TWAD were useful
in designing an efficient system for Perur.
•The bore well sample was collected and tested for
water potability .
•The water test report proved that the water was
chemically potable.
•The location and dimension of the bore well was
decided from the hydro-geological survey in such a
way that there was sufficient supply of water
throughout the year.
•The designed tank capacity was adequate to meet the
demands of the floating population.
•The layout of the looped water distribution network
sketched using AutoCAD was useful in denoting all
essential data like length, nodes and levels.
•The LOOP software facilitated in the calculation of
pressure in the pipe network.
•The ECP software was useful in the calculation of
economy of the main pipe.
•The PERT gave the duration of necessary works that
had to be carried out before the commencement of the
laying of water distribution system.
