‡ Before, San Isidro Police Station was inside
the compound of the San Isidro Municipal
building way back under the leadership of
Police Sr. Ins. Julian Franco and Demetrio
Dela Cruz.

In 2001, San Isidro Police Station was

separated from the Municipal building and
was moved to the left side of the Municipal
Hall during the reconstruction/renovation
under the leadership of Police
Superintendent Benjamin R. Dela Cruz.

‡ Inherent to all branches of the military, the
autocratic model is used in the San Isidro
Police station.
‡ Their ³boss´ in that station is the Chief of
Police who reports to a higher officer who,
in turn, reports to someone of higher rank.
This practice goes on until it reaches the
President who is their Commander in Chief
‡ Police officers have only the choice to
obey any order coming from higher
ranking officers. Those orders are carried
out with no protest or questioning as to
whether it is right or wrong.

‡ Although we kind of ³invaded´ the police
station right after lunch break, the officers
were very kind and welcoming to us.

They gave us all the data we needed, answered all our questions, took us on tour
of the whole station, and even agreed to have their pictures taken with us.
In spite of the heat that afternoon, our little visit at the police station was a very
refreshing new experience that showed us a whole different side of police officers
and a new perspective as to what kind of people they are.
