The Church part 13

The Prophetic Past, Present and Future

Pastor Kerry Wilson

• Revelation 19:9 (King James Version)
•  9And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are
they which are called unto the marriage
supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me,
These are the true sayings of God.
• It is impossible to minister on the rapture
without the bridal paradigm being
established.
• My intention today is to reveal the glory of
God in the church because of her calling…..
• Revelation 22:17 (King James Version)
•  17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And
let him that heareth say, Come. And let him
that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let
him take the water of life freely.
• This is the result of intimacy with Christ, the
gospel becomes alive and we birth children in
this intimacy….
• Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of
the wife, even as Christ is the head of the
church: and he is the saviour of the body.
• It is inside of this understanding of our
protection and provision that we are changed
in our love and devotion to Him…..
• The Song of Solomon reveals this love as it grows and comes to
a place of culmination called the Rapture…… My love grows as I
grow… Every relationship has phases. “ A Mature Love”
• Song of Solomon 8:6-7 (King James Version)
•  6Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm:
for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the
coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement
flame.
•  7Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods
drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for
love, it would utterly be contemned.
• Love has come to mean many things in our world. I am
not Greek, and I am not Hebrew but I have found that
as my love has matured, that it rises to the degree of
commitment and care that any situation calls for………
• Initial Stage of Love…. Rose colored but not deep…….
• Song of Solomon 1:4 (King James Version)
•  4Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath
brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and
rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than
wine: the upright love thee.
• Selfish Love………
• Song of Solomon 5:2-4 (King James Version)
•  2I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my
beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister,
my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled
with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.
•  3I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have
washed my feet; how shall I defile them?
•  4My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door,
and my bowels were moved for him.
• Isaiah 4:1
•  1And in that day seven women shall take hold
of one man, saying, We will eat our own
bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us
be called by thy name, to take away our
reproach.
• Independence………
• Song of Solomon 5:6-8 (King James Version)
•  6I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn
himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I
sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he
gave me no answer.
•  7The watchmen that went about the city found me, they
smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took
away my veil from me.
•  8I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my
beloved, that ye tell him, that I am sick of love.
• Genesis 3:5-6 (King James Version)
•  5For God doth know that in the day ye eat
thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye
shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
•  6And when the woman saw that the tree was
good for food, and that it was pleasant to the
eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise,
she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave
also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
• Genesis 3:16 (King James Version)
•  16Unto the woman he said, I will greatly
multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in
sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy
desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall
rule over thee.
• A Transforming Love…….
• Song of Solomon 6:9-13 (King James Version)
•  9My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one
of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare
her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the
queens and the concubines, and they praised her.
•  10Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as
the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army
with banners?
•  11I went down into the garden of nuts to see the
fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine
flourished and the pomegranates budded.
•  12Or ever I was aware, my soul made me like the
chariots of Amminadib.
•  13Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that
we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the
Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies.
• 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (King James Version)
•  16For the Lord himself shall descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the
dead in Christ shall rise first:
•  17Then we which are alive and remain shall be
caught up together with them in the clouds, to
meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be
with the Lord.
• Covenant
• Genesis 2:21-24 (King James Version)
•  21And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall
upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of
his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
•  22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken
from man, made he a woman, and brought her
unto the man.
• Identity……………..
• And Adam said, This is now bone of my

bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be

called Woman, because she was taken out of
Man.
•  24Therefore shall a man leave his father and
his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and
they shall be one flesh.

• Our world has been inundated with a disdain
for covenant, consequently not only western
views, but eastern views as the role of women
and their worth has been decimated.
• We can’t understand covenant because we
don’t understand the spiritual nature of
marriage………
Israel Church
• Exodus 19:5-6 (King James • 1 Peter 2:9-10 (King James Version)
Version) •  9But ye are a chosen generation, a
•  5Now therefore, if ye will obey my royal priesthood, an holy nation, a

• Israel couldn’t in history and they can’t
understand now the “spiritual nature of
covenant”, the binding of covenant was and is
sacred to them, however they were never
transformed into the spiritual nature and
calling of the church when Jesus arrived.
• They were looking for the physical
manifestation of the kingdom, they couldn’t
embrace the mystery of God in Christ.
• They allowed exclusivity to be a cause in
missing the fact that they were the vehicle by
which all “gospel” would come into the world,
not just Judaism.
• They just kept operating in the natural, never
looking for the spiritual, and they missed it….
• They were free to join themselves to the eternal
plan of God in Jesus, and change the world in
the spiritual and supernatural.
• Romans 7
•  1Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that
know the law,) how that the law hath dominion
over a man as long as he liveth?
•  2For the woman which hath an husband is
bound by the law to her husband so long as he
liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed
from the law of her husband.
• Romans 7:3-4
•  3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married
to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but
if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so
that she is no adulteress, though she be married to
another man.
•  4Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to
the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be
married to another, even to him who is raised from
the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
• Man needs a transformation, the law was
good and holy but something supernatural has
to take place for man to please God, we call it
grace, but it is founded in the gospel.
• Israel refused the very nature of their
forefathers blessing, the supernatural, all the
signs were there, the early church enjoyed
and embraced but what a great story….
• Election………..
• Deuteronomy 7:6-8 (King James Version)
•  6For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God
hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that
are upon the face of the earth.
•  7The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were
more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
•  8But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath
which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with
a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the
hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
• I want you to understand this, Israel doesn’t
become part of the Church, the Church
became part of Israel. This called out group
changes in man’s identification, but spiritually
they will usher in the kingdom. It is not the
end of the church age, Israel is reborn, and
some new covenant or arrangement. It is the
glorious plan of God for those who love Him
being worked out right before our eyes…..
• Blessing………….
• Deuteronomy 6:10-12 (King James Version)
•  (b)…to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou
buildedst not,
•  11And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not,
and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and
olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have
eaten and be full;
•  12Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought
thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of
bondage.
• Deuteronomy 7:13-15 (King James Version)
•  13And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he
will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land,
thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine,
and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto
thy fathers to give thee.
•  14Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be
male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.
•  15And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will
put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest,
upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
• Deuteronomy 7:22-23 (King James Version)
•  22And the LORD thy God will put out those
nations before thee by little and little: thou
mayest not consume them at once, lest the
beasts of the field increase upon thee.
•  23But the LORD thy God shall deliver them
unto thee, and shall destroy them with a
mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.
• Deuteronomy 8:17-18 (King James Version)
•  17And thou say in thine heart, My power and
the might of mine hand hath gotten me this
wealth.
•  18But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God:
for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth,
that he may establish his covenant which he
sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
• Same Stuff
• Genesis 1:27-28 (King James Version)
•  27So God created man in his own image, in the
image of God created he him; male and female
created he them.
•  28And God blessed them, and God said unto
them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the
earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over
earth.
• Dominion has to be the same sphere as the
nature of the creation….
• Nature of the Name has great power in the
spiritual realm….
• The natural is a reflection of the spiritual,
Jesus was a Jew, consequently when we try
and define the church as His bride, it must be
through that paradigm that we look…….
• Shiddukhin: The selection of the bride
• Ketuba: Is the proposal and the purchase
price (mohar) for the dowry must be
established with two un-objectionable
witnesses.
• Matthew 17
• Kiddushin: Is the first part of a two part
ceremony, this signifies the sanctifying or
dedicating of the bride to him only. (Eph 5)
• Erusin: This is also part of the first, It is the
announcement of the covenant and purchase
price with a ceremonial cup of wine. There
must be at least 10 witnesses who will now go
and broadcast the ceremony…. Matthew26
• The first step of part two of the ceremony is
the nissuin, this is the first phase of co-
habitation and is predicated by a separation
period in which the groom prepares a home
for the bride.
• John 14
• The second step of part two is conducted in a
huppah or the place of consumation.
• The wedding tradition is accompanied by both
a word and blood covenant.
• Upon arrival to take His bride the bridegroom
descends with a shout to announce His
arrival…. 1 Thess 4
• The groom is responsible for the dress of the
wedding and invitation is merited on the
same….. Matthew 22:11-14, Revelation19:8
• Revelation 19:7Let us be glad and rejoice, and
give honour to him: for the marriage of the
Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself
ready.
