History

Mainly wireless communication is widely used in mobiles. it may be depend upon generation designation. First generation (1G) systems were used primarily for voice communications Second generation (2G) wireless communications systems, which is used mainly for voice transmission and reception 2.5G is usually identified as being fueled by General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) along with GSM. In 3G systems, are designed for voice and paging services

The problem with 3G wireless systems is bandwidth-these systems provide only WAN coverage ranging from 144 kbps (for vehicle mobility applications) to 2 Mbps (for indoor application). 4G is the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. It is a successor to the 3G and 2G families of standards. In 2009, the ITU-R organization specified the IMT-Advanced (International Mobile Telecommunications Advanced) requirements for 4G standards, setting peak speed requirements for 4G service at 100 for high mobility communication (such as from trains and cars) Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s for low mobility communication (such as pedestrians and stationary users). It is a packet switched wireless system with wide area coverage and high throughput. It is designed to be cost effective and to provide high spectral efficiency

4G is the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. It is a successor to the 3G and 2G families of standards. It is a packet switched wireless system with wide area coverage and high throughput. It is designed to be cost effective and to provide high spectral efficiency. It is expected to provide a comprehensive and secure all-IP based mobile broadband solution to y laptop computer wireless modems, smart phones, and other mobile devices. y Facilities such as ultra-broadband Internet access, IP telephony, gaming services, and streamed multimedia may be provided to users.

Features
High usability: anytime, anywhere, and with any technology. y Support for multimedia services at low transmission cost. y Personalization. y Integrated services.
y

Technologies used in 4G
OFDM(orthogonal frequency divisional multiplexing). y Ultra Wide Radio Band (UWB), y and Millimeter wireless and smart antenna are used in which Data rate of 20mbps is employed. y It uses a multi network functional device software which is very helpful for multiple user.
y

Advantages
y y y y y y y y

Support for interactive multimedia, voice, streaming video, Internet, and other broadband services IP based mobile system High speed, high capacity, and low cost per bit Global access, service portability, and scalable mobile services Seamless switching, and a variety of Quality of Service driven services Better scheduling and call admission control techniques Ad hoc and multi hop networks (the strict delay requirements of voice make multi hop network service a difficult problem) Better spectral efficiency.

Disadvantages
Expensive. y More power consumption. y Hard to implement. y Complicated hardware required.
y

Future Enhancement
A major issue in 4G systems is y to make the high bit rates available in a larger portion of the cell, especially to users in an exposed position in between several base stations. y In current research, this issue is addressed by macrodiversity techniques, also known as group cooperative relay, and also by beam-division multiple access. y This lead to development of 5G.
y

Conclusion
y Described as MAGIC:
mobile multimedia, y any-time anywhere, y global mobility support, y integrated wireless solution, y and customized personal service. y The best way to help all parties is to use 4G as the next wireless system. y Totally it is safety -secure for public. y This the need that demands the solution today's wired society is going wireless& it has problem,4G is answer.
