Quick Reference Guide for PCO Lucent

Did the sectors PCO exceed the threshold in last months TOP6 PCO report? Yes Ensure Correct Data fill for all PCO impacting Parameters including Paging Channel Overload Controls PCO Thresholds: Lucent PCO Threshold = 72% Verify if SHAPCAR is enabled in the switch. Implement sub-MSC paging. (Carrier Balancing) essentially a common carrier sanity check to ensure that the PCO is equally distributed among all reasonable carriers on the sector

Second Paging Channel

This feature introduces the ability to support up to 2 Paging Channels per carrier-sector. Each Paging Channel can accommodate up to six additional access channels Changing the number of Paging Channels is recommended to be performed during the maintenance window only.

MOP:
note:

Deployment of this feature must be closely analyzed and monitored due to potential loss of capacity due to limited forward power availability.
