Teacher divides the pupils into three groups. Teacher asks other pupils to say the numbers. Teacher asks pupils to conscientious combination of the numbers in each group. Step 3 (15 minutes)

Teacher shows the place value using an abacus. Teacher asks pupils to show the place value using an abacus. Pupils show how to solve addition calculation using an abacus.

Closure (5 minutes)

Group activity

Teacher divides the pupils into 4 groups. Each group get a flower with question in standard written method. Teacher asks each group to find out the answer. After that, paste under the butterfly which has the correct answer. The winner group get pencils as a gift.
