CURRICULUM FOR N.S.T.P.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
LEGAL BASES: a) Republic Act No. 9163, known as the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Act of 2001. Three Major Components 1. Literacy Training Service 2. Reserved Officer Training Corps 3. Civic Welfare Training Service b) Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the National Service Training Program Act of 2001 c) CHED Memorandum, Guidelines and Circulars

VISION :
The ACSAT-NSTP envisions to build-up valuable and effective members of National Service Reserve Corps who will serve as positive change agents towards attaining quality of life, sustain peace, unity, cooperation and growth of the target communities nationwide.

MISSION :
The ACSAT-NSTP is a dynamic service oriented sector composed of qualified implementers, provides capability enhancement for civic welfare geared towards encouraging youth in improving their skills, knowledge and attitudes in various endeavor, develop their selfless interest in community service and be more responsive in attaining peace towards nation building.

GOALS:
Develop civic consciousness patriotism among the students particularly those that enhance their total well-being as positive agents in the pursuit of national development.

HOW TO ACHIEVE : 1.
Creates training programs that will mold students to practice using concepts they require to understand, stimulates students trainees desires and interest to be more and be directly involved on matters about the topic covered.

PEOPLE :
1.NSTP Director / Program Coordinator - is a duly qualified and experienced personnel assigned by the school authority as Chief or Head of the NSTP Office of the concerned institution. The same as Adequate training and experience on the different components of NSTP offered by the institution. Active National Service Reserve Corps member. 2. CWTS Coordinator is a duly qualified and experienced personnel Assigned by school authority for Civic Welfare Training Service Component of NSTP. The same has adequate training and experience In civic welfare activities and programs. Active National Service Reserve Corps member. 3. Instructor is a duly qualified and experienced person assigned to handle any of the NSTP Components offered by the institutions. Active National Service Reserve Corps member.

PROPOSED REQUIREMENTS/GUIDELINES FOR NSTP DEPARTMENT


1. REACTIVATION OF THE NSTP BRANCH COORDINATOR TO SERVE AS ONE OF THE ADVISER DURING THE ENROLMENT PERIOD.

2. THE NSTP DEPARTMENT SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE CLEARANCE FORM. 3. PROPOSED NEW NSTP ATTENDANCE SHEET. 4. POLICY ON FILING THE ATTENDANCE SHEET.

5. ATTENDANCE SHEET SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE OFFICE OF THE ACADEMICS THROUGH NSTP DIRECTOR FOR THE REQUISITION OF THE ISSUANCE OF THE SERIAL NUMBER TO CHED, OFFICE OF THE CIVIL DEFENSE, NATIONAL SERVICE RESERVE CORPS, AND DEPARTMENT OF NATIONAL DEFENSE (DND). 6. NSTP OFFICE FOR THE SAFEKEEPING OF DOCUMENTS AND EQUIPMENT. 7. THE NSTP DEPARTMENT SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE ENROLMENT PROCESS. 8. PROPOSED WORKTEXT/WORKBOOK FOR THE NSTP CLASSES AS A REQUIREMENT FOR THE NSTP STUDENTS AND INSTRUCTOR TO STRICTLY FOLLOW THE NSTP CURRICULLUM..
