According to the National and Provincial Disaster Management Authority report dated 7 September 2010,  18 million people have been affected by the worst floods in Pakistani history  This figure accounts for almost one in every 8 Pakistanis  As of 6 September 2010, the death till now stands at 1,752 people  2,701 people injured badly and rested into very serious condition  More than 1.3 million people have been rescued  The latest assessments estimate that more than 1.8 million homes have been damaged or destroyed.
