TYPICAL NETWORK ARCHITECTURE

FAULT MANAGEMENT
The goal of fault management is to recognize, isolate, correct and log faults in the network.

This is accomplished with the help of Trouble Ticketing.

TROUBLE TICKETING (TT)

Trouble Ticket is a management that accounts for the creation of Trouble Tickets by the Surveillance team in NNOC to know the nature of the fault and for Calculation of the Outage. Outage.

NNOCNNOC- National Network Operations Center

WHY TROUBLE TICKET IS CREATED ?

A TT is generated to keep into account the type of fault that has happened in a particular site, to troubleshoot that fault and to calculate the Outage. Based on the type of fault TT is assigned to respective teams & a Work Order is created so that the teams can work on the fault. Depending on the Trouble Ticket corresponding Fault Ticket is generated by the respective teams.

SOFTWARES USED AT ALCATELALCATELLUCENT FOR TROUBLE TICKETING Remedy User or Netkt And Netrac Its a trouble management system that enables Communication Service Providers to effectively manage the trouble resolution process.

TYPES OF ALARMS (Vendor-Wise) FOR (VendorWHICH TT HAS TO BE CREATED

CDMA:

Lucent : All RCS signalling links are down Huawei : Abis signaling link interrupt ZTE : No CCM/BDM detected Telos : Gateway out of service

Cont GSM:

RCOM GSM : LAPD OML Fault RTL (ALU) : CELL [43] LOSS-OF-ALLLOSS-OF-ALLCHAN [3] RTL (ZTE) : All LAPD link of OMU in the site and BSC lost RTL (MOTO) : [0] Last RSL Link Failure -FMIC (0) Critical

PROCEDURES FOR CREATING DIFFERENT TYPES OF TROUBLE TICKET

As the Alarms appear in the NETRAC for the Site/s, We should first check the Status of the Site/s. After that check whether the TT is already there or not for the Site/s. If TT is there for the Site/s, We should not create the TT for the present Site Alarm. If TT is not there for the Site/s, We have to create the TT by using To TT application present in the NETRAC.

OSP TT

A trouble ticket to be generated

AN OPEN TTTT-

A CLOSED TT -

A TRANSPORT TTTT-

ISP TT

Depending upon the type of fault in BTS we create the INSIDE PLANT TT. Do not create work order for ISP TTs These TTs are created for our knowledge. ISP issues should be given high priority & should be solved asap.
