IT Penetration over the City Hyderabad

Objectives of the Study

To get feedback by the owners of small and medium business enterprises about either they use any IT solutions or not in their business to know the IT usage over the city Hyderabad. To know which type of software they are using in their business so that firm can develop those softwares through which firm can earn optimum revenue. To create awareness of the existing products line of the firm among the business organizations who are interested to use IT solutions for their business.

Research Methodology

Research methodology used for the study was of Random Sample Method type and the research is done with few numbers of SMBs. Source of Data The main source of collecting data for this project is primary as well as secondary method. My survey is based on questionnaires and direct customer meeting. Period of Study 60 days Sample size 2000

Limitations of the Study

During the process of a research a person comes across certain restrictions certain limitations. Some of these limitations are overcome while come have to be overlooked for the smooth conducting of the research. Some of these restrictions are : IT is such an Industry in which people is having mentality that only computer literate people can use IT software and solutions in their business illiterate people cant use IT solutions so whenever I went to such a place, they used to tell me that no we dont want anything please go from here.

Limitations of the Study


Due to the wide area of the markets, it was impossible to cover each and every retail shop, hence only few shops were covered. The project has to be completed in 6-7 weeks, which is not enough time to cover the market. So time was the major constraints in conducting the study. In this study it is not possible to collect the opinion of all customers owing to personal constraints. So the assumptions are drawn on the basis of the information given by the respondents.

Data Analysis

Analysis of data is a process of inspecting, cleaning, transforming, and modeling data with the goal of highlighting useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision making

The data shows that maximum SMBs are not using any IT solutions in their business. About 31% SMBs are using Accounting and Billing System in their business. Major part of the SMBs is using only computers without any software. A large segment of the SMBs is thinking that there is no need of IT solutions in Small Business In Consumer Durables Sector a large part of the segment is using only computers without any particular software.

Data Analysis

In Consumer Durables, Cosmetics, FMCG, Hardware and Home Appliances, Hotels and Restaurants Sectors, Textiles a major part of SMBs are thinking that there is no need of IT solutions in small business In Consumer Durables and Healthcare Sectors a major part of SMBs want to use IT solutions for their business in future. In Cosmetics, FMCG, Hardware and Home Appliances, Healthcare, Hotels and Restaurants, Textiles Sectors major segment is using accounting softwares and billing system

Data Analysis

In cosmetics, FMCG, Hardware and Home Appliances, Healthcare, Hotels and Restaurants, Textiles sectors smaller part of the SMBs wants to adopt IT solutions in future.

Findings

A small part of the SMBs who are not using any IT solutions are interested to use IT in the future. A small segment of SMBs wants company to contact them with their own IT solutions. Healthcare Sector is the only sector where major part of the Segment is Using IT. Healthcare Sector is the only Sector where about half of the segment wants company to contact them with its own IT solutions. About 31% SMBs who wants company to contact them with its own softwares are using Accounting and Billing System

Findings

About 70% SMBs are not using IT solutions in their business because some of them are thinking that there is no need of IT in small Business and some of them have never thought to use any IT solutions. Company have a strong opportunity in IT solution .

Recommendations

In IT users client base is strong in FMCG sector , consumer durable and textile sectors. Out of all the collection of softwares accounting and database management Softwares are famous and there is a chance to expend business in that field Less awareness about need in small business Only few person is interested to opt IT services in future
