Mission Critical Service Data centres, telecommunication switching centres, factory processing control rooms.

. Identify all the critical services necessary to ensure that the client's business technology and system is comprehensively designed. Address aging systems, technological obsolescence, frequent breakdowns, speed of delivery, reliability and efficiency, as well as guard against potential disruption to power supply.

One of the mission critical facilities distributor(DB-Aire, GE UPS) Construction projects of the data centre/server room and telecommunication centre. Testing and commissioning session Monthly comprehensive maintenance or preventative maintenance.

Precise temperature, humidity, and dust control are required in mission critical facilities. (20-25C, 50-55%RH) Optimize the performance of the computer and ancillary equipment. Saving much cost-avoid expensive down time that means the loss of business revenue and expensive repair cost.

Sensible Heat is the energy of molecular motion. Latent Heat is the energy of molecular separation and arrangement. Electrical equipment only produce sensible heat. Latent cooling for humans comfort absolves humans sweat. Air-conditioner with large latent cooling ratio besides wasting of energy; could also have sideeffect of making the room too dry and creating static charges that is harmful for electronic devices.

1. Estimate machines total sensible heat dissipation Machines total sensible heat dissipation = the amount of server rack heat discharged by a server rack (assume 1 server rack discharge 3-5 kWatt) 2. Estimate the room sensible heat gain from sunshine, air infiltration and others. Room sensible heat = conduction heat through walls/radiation heat (sunshine) + convection heat (air infiltration) = airVroomcp(Toutside - Troom) + h Aroom (Ts - T) 3. Estimate numbers of human and their sensible heat load contribution. (assume that people discharge 30-50 Watt)

4. Estimate latent cooling capacity needed that is around 20% to 50% of total sensible heat for # 2 & 3 only. Machines do not need latent cooling! 5. Calculate Total Cooling Capacity by adding both sensible heat and latent heat. 6. For Machine room, both total cooling capacity and sensible cooling capacity must be specified. 7. Select the most suitable model of PECU from the DB Aire Performance Table by using the total cooling capacity and total sensible heat that are assumed to be greater a bit than those of calculated. (This is to consider the frictional pressure drop and heat loss)
