The company succeeded in making achievements and coming with multiple cars that have different designs from its begging. In the year1886: true internal combustion engine powered three wheeler automobile vehicles. In the 1894: single cylinder four stroke engine powered four wheeler vehicle. Finally in the year 1899: Mr. Emil jellinek entered the Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft (DMG) vehicles.

How is the IS reducing time, cost and errors.


- IS bring a lot of value to the Mercedes Benz Company by Applying the IS to reduce a lot of disadvantages and the error that may face the company.
During the age old days data was captured on paper which gave a good chance of error. -example : the Oil Dispensing Unit during manual capture, there were chances of wastage as well as discrepancy in the data captured as well as the actual oil utilized. - By integrating this to our Information Systems Backbone, efficiency of 99% was achieved and the chance of wastage and error was greatly reduced - Example : RFID Vehicle tracking System , When a vehicle drives into the facility, it took long time to track the actual vehicle which decreased productivity. But after implementing this system, online real time vehicle tracking was achieved with increase in technician productivity .

Advantages :
benefit of the information system Summarized on the making the communication between the departments easy and reduce the boundaries . helps on making decision and future planning.  reducing the cost.

Disadvantages
cost of implementing and upgrading the system. the security of the information system . their Might get problems of using different information system and making it hard to mange for all of them .

What we learned from this project:


Identifying the company and its position in the world. Knowing more information about the cars produced in the company and its features. Developing our experience about the history of the company and its begging. We know more about the information system used of the Mercedes Benz company . We know how information system help the company in reducing errors and increasing the productivity .
