Airspace Protection

Obstructions in vicinity of airport may limit operations. Objects up to 15 km away can cause problems for pilots OLS prescribed by CASA, MOS 139 ref surfaces, define when objects considered as obstacles and assessed for impact on aircraft ops. PANS - OPS instrument procedures, guaranteed minimum clearance above any obstacle cannot be infringed. Airport operator responsible for implementing CASA standards. Defence similar standards.
