Who are Remote Operations


Remote Operations are a business unit within Power and Water that delivers power, water and sewerage services to 72 Indigenous communities across the Northern Territory

PWC provide these essential services through not-for-profit subsidiary IES Pty Ltd
SLA between DLGHRS and PWC Delivery through PWC staff, contractors (R&M, Capex) Essential Service Operators (day-day operations)

Small Communities (Outstations)

Typically outstation communities pop. <50 people


457 communities

Responsibility transferred from AG to NT 1 July 2008


Over 50% of remote and very remote Indigenous communities are in NT
