The NITCO Group came into existence in the year 1956 with the formation of partnership firm at Delhi under the name of The Northern India Tiles Corporation [Delhis] for manufacturing mosaic tiles. The partners of this firm were Mr. A.N. Talwar [HUFs], Mr. P.N. Talwar & Mr. W. N. Talwar. Company was converted into a public limited company with effect from January 25, 1996. In 1984, it started its operation at Kanjurmarg, Mumbai for processing & distribution of imported marble in India. Growing further, in 1995, it began the implementation of green field project for manufacture of ceramic floor tiles at Alibaug, Maharashtra & started the commercial production of ceramic tiles in 1997. In 2002, it started one more marble processing unit at Slivassa.

In 2004, it scaled up operations of outsourcing vitrified tiles from China. Currently, our product portfolio comprises of ceramic tiles, vitrified/wall tiles, cement terrazzo tiles, pavers and marbles etc. 2006 -Nitco Tiles enters into CMA with Foshan Lungo Ceramics 2008 - Comp. name has been changed from Nitco Tiles Ltd to Nitco Ltd.

Mr. Pran Nath Talwar is the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Nitco Limited. Mr. Alok Goel has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Nitco Ltd Mr. B.G. Borkar serves as Chief Financial Officer, Compliance Officer, Secretary of Nitco Limited. Mr. Vivek Talwar is the Managing Director, Executive Director of NITCO Limited

Ms. Poonam Talwar Whole Time Director of NITCO Limited. Mr. S. K. Bhardwaj is Non-Executive Independent Director of NITCO Limited. Mr. Atul Sud is Non-Executive Independent Director of NITCO Ltd. Mr. Gaurav Burman is Non-Executive Independent Director of NITCO Limited.

Ceramic comes from the Greek term Keramos, meaning "a potter" or "pottery. Since the infancy of ceramics, up to this very day, the process is still very much the same; for the creation of all ceramic materials, one needs to bake a mixture of clays at a very high temperature. A ceramic tile, therefore, is the resulting product, after a mixture of clays have been treated appropriately, pressed, fired at a high temperature and cut to size. A ceramic tile consists of two parts: the body, which is called the bisque and the surface, which is called the glaze.

Vitrified tiles are non-glazed tiles. Their hardness and polish is achieved by virtue of the pressing together of very hard materials. Vitrified tiles are extremely strong and durable and processed in such a way that they allow for very little water absorption. Vitrified tiles have a water absorption of < 0.1%. Vitrified tiles allow for a full body tile, which means that the design is not merely on the surface of the tile, but runs throughout the entire tile. The advantage of this is that the tiles become incredibly strong.

Mosaico is the art of creating images with an assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials. Mosaics by Nitco normally use three materials; marble, stone and Ceramic/Vitrified tile pieces. Mosaico manufacturing line, based at Kanjur Marg in Mumbai works hard every day to create the finest mosaic designs conceivable. Very special about mosaico facility, is that the customers are able to chose their own designs, no matter how large or complicated these may be.

Shall not communicate with any member of press or publicity media or any other outside agency on matters concerning the Company, except through the designated spokespersons unless authorized otherwise.

Shall ensure strict compliance of the prescribed safety & environment related norms and other applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations and statutes, which if not complied with may, otherwise, disqualify him/ her from his/ her association with the Company.
Shall ensure strict compliance with SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 1992 as also other regulations as may become applicable to them from time to time.

Nitco's widespread network includes 18 depots, 750 direct dealers and over 5000 sub dealers spread across the country. Apart from a closely interlinked network, the company also has 4 factories and various offices in India, with its headquarters located in Mumbai.
