INTRODUCTION
The value of E-commerce is increasing. The validity of E-transaction is established under IT act 2000. Increase of online frauds and scams. Laws have been enforced to make it applicable to E-commerce. Modification of traditional laws in respect to the e-commerce. Modification to the tradition laws.

IT ACT 2000
Provides legal and regulatory framework for promotion of E-commerce . It was enacted on 7th June 2000. Officially gazette on 17th October. Applicable to whole of India.
Extends to whole of India. E-transaction will be legally valid. Security procedure for electronic records Appointment of certifying authorities and controller of certifying authorities. Act to apply for offences committed outside India. Network service providers to be liable in certain areas. Power of police officer to enter in public areas without warrant. And many other provisions are there.
IT ACT ENABLES:
Legal
recognition to electronic transaction. Electronic filing of documents. Electronic data interchange Acceptance of contract expressed by electronic means. Prevent computer crime, forged electronic records, international alteration of electronic records fraud.
DIGITAL SIGNATURE
It is a mathematical scheme for demonstrating the authenticity of a digital message or document. It is based on the RSA public key encryption system. In this the author keeps his/her private key secret and publishes corresponding public key. It identifies the owner of the public key asserted by a digital certificate.
Tampering of computer documents. Electronic forgery. Hacking with computer system. Confiscation of networks ,computer etc. Unauthorized access to protection system. Breach of confidentiality and privacy. Publishing false digital signature. Contravention by companies.
