It is clear that the campus based education can never scale up faster. There is a need for Distance Education to rise upto the challenge There is increasing respectability for Distance Education the world over. Technology has made Distance education compete with Campus Education equally.

The traditional form of teaching laid emphasis on the teacher. The teacher dominated the class room and the students were passive listeners. The focus was more on information dissemination. The attention span of students in class is only for about 20 minutes out of the one hour of class There is a need for teachers to find new ways of engaging students
