Nigel achieved a BSc (Hons) Biochemistry before going on to studying an MSc in Clinical Oncology at the University of Nottingham. During his time at university, Nigel joined an online writing group and developed his writing ability through yahoogroups, a group he continued writing for until the early part of 2010.
Nigel also grew up going to The Salvation Army where he learnt to read music and play a brass instrument. He enjoyed developing his attention to detail, a skill that has proven useful at school as well as in his writing career.
