He spent a total of nineteen months in Iraq from 2003 to 2009. He plans to enter the research field in biochemistry after completing his Bachelor of Science in San Francisco, where he goes to school. If you give Rory a fish, you’ll feed him for a day, but if you give him an M4 and an endless supply of bullets, he’ll make all kinds of people do his fishing for him and never go hungry. He lives with his wife and son in the Bay Area in California where he enjoys the fact that there’s only two seasons year-round.
Rory does the occasional consulting gig on the side, teaching battlefield trauma care and serious wound management to military and government agencies worldwide. He is a firearms instructor for several companies and teaches basic wilderness and urban survival. He is also really good at eating pie and can make a mean pot of mac ’n’ cheese. He is more than willing to provide you with outrageous lies concerning fake missions he ran for the CIA and other government agencies, missions that he will make up on the spot and you will believe because he’s a Green Beret. Rory sincerely hopes you enjoyed WTTFD and he will endeavor to make the sequels even more enjoyable to read... if you survive long enough to read them.
One last thing, and Rory is serious as death and taxes and plays about cancer on this point: What’s YOUR bugout plan? See the author’s website for more information on how to prepare for a world-wide calamity, and offer suggestions and ideas of your own.view less
