Marie Prokop was born in Pennsylvania. Her favorite fiction writers include Madeleine L’Engle, Pearl S. Buck, and C.S. Lewis. A singer-songwriter and avid knitter, Diane and her family now reside in Houston, Texas along with four cats and much yarn. She has written a novel,The Red String, (the first installment of the Days of the Guardian trilogy), and a short story for children, entitled, The Baiji.
