Returning home from Germany, a friend turned me onto a life in radio as a DJ. Like Mark Twain, who drew many of his characters from his life on the Mississippi; radio was a vehicle for me to travel the country, living and working in cities and towns across America. When I moved to New York to pursue an acting career, I eventually got an agent and spent the next fifteen years doing voiceovers and on-camera work in addition to bits on Saturday Night Live, soaps and films (Wall Street, Big Business, etc). I was also the host of a daily radio show on a local station as well as over the ABC satellite for national broadcasts. While in New York, I enrolled in The Writer’s Voice and creative writing at the New School. I later joined LongridgeWriters Group.view less
