All my books...view moreA French writer and documentary film maker, I have been living in China for 25 years. I published 9 novels up to now, either under my true name or using a Chinese pen name: Fan Tong... All my books deal with the history of French presence in China (eg. The Yunnan railway, built by the French between 1898 and 1910, or the former French territory of Guang Zhou Wan*). I normally write in French. Though, 2 of my books were translated into English : "The Jungle of Surprise" (Original title: "De ma jungle, affectueusement") and "Out of Time in Wan Chai" ("Voguant vers l'avenir lumineux", for which a Swedish version also exists: "Flickan som hoppade från en spårvagn i Wan Chai"). Last but not least, my first novel, called "Le Cheval céleste", has been translated into Chinese and published by a Mainland publisher, Haitian Chubanshi.
